BUBS, the one TikTok found
BUBS makes the foam skulls and ovals that pulled a whole generation of Americans toward Swedish candy: two flavors split down one piece, a denser chew than American marshmallow candy, and a sour coating that actually bites. The 155g bags here are the same ones stacked in Swedish supermarkets, in raspberry lemon, cool cola, banana toffee, tutti frutti diamond and the salty licorice raspberry skull. Bubs candy by the piece is on the wall as well.
Malaco, Cloetta and Ahlgrens, the old guard
These are the names a Swede grew up on. Malaco has been going since 1934 and makes Gott & Blandat, the fruit and licorice mix that comes in original, salt, super sour and fizzy. Cloetta is older still and makes Polly, the chocolate covered foam, plus Plopp and the Kexchoklad wafer bar. Ahlgrens Bilar are the marshmallow cars that Swedes call the country’s best-selling car, and the sour sugared version is the one to fight over. Fazer’s Dumle, chewy toffee under milk chocolate, rounds out the shelf.
